This is my 37 Ford Sedan. This is my first Street Rod project. My Dad was always building something when I was young, but I was really into the Muscle Car scene. Now that I'm over thirty, have a good career, and a house with a great garage, I felt it's time to take on a challenge.
I bought the car for 125 bucks and started to visualize the finished product. I thought of a lot of different ways to build this car, and decided on shaved, frenched, slammed, mild horsepower, two-toned, lots of audio/video, and all while maintaining a clean smooth look inside and out.
I actually haven't worked on the car since July of 06. I took a break to build myself a shop truck. I've been hauling parts all over western Canada in my Taurus. The truck will be done this summer on I'll get back to the car.
Here's whats done so far suspension and powertrain have been mocked up. New frame crossmembers built and frame is boxed. I built my own front crossmember and added Mustang II upper and lower control arms and spindles. Ford Granada rotors. I replaced the front springs with firestone air bags and built my own upper and lower supports. In the picture the car is mocked up with an air over a single leaf arrangement and a 8" rear. This is now changed to a Heidts four bar and a 9" from a 57 Ford. Power was going to come from a 1971 351 Clevland and a C4 (pictured), but am seriously considering the 351 Windsor and C4 I just purchased from my friends 70 Mustang.
