1999 Nissan Sentra GXE
here is my grill update, i havent changed much over the last year but the grill and back reflector is the latest change. here is the grill off of a 96 model and the reflector from the back of a 95. i like the dark look so i am changing from grapahite to black acents. i think ill loose the graphic kit and do stock look. but black rims with chrome lips. and i will change the mirrors this year and lower it. so ill be updating this page real soon.
Here is my new nose.
And my new rear reflector. id like a SEL reflector and Tail Lights but i cant find any now so for 30 bucks this will have to do.
Update 4-28-06 :
I just but another custom graphic kit. I stole from another car , Thanks Drew for the inspiration. but i made it different so its not an exact copy. but anyway its on page 4.
UPDATE 8-1-05 :
I just added a new look to my front end i made some eyelids and they came out great. Check out the exterior mods section for the details
192k Miles mostly highway miles, Runs Great i get about 400 miles on highway,380 in the city, I use Mobil 1 Synthetic 5w30 and ATF only. Engine Restore, Oil Change at 2500 miles.
K&N Air Filtrercharger, K&N Performance Gold Oil Filter, Remote Starter System with Keyless,Trunk release,Auto On/OFF,Temperature ON/OFF,Timed ON/OFF,
Custom CAI/RAM AIR Intake
This the original intake, its too parts the top tube with the hole in the side, and the Resonator box. in the car the box sets infront ot the right wheel, and behind the bumper. They are separated by only a thin slab of sheet metal. I removed the wheel and pulled the box out of the bottom, and the pipe off of the air box above, also i made the hole it left in the metal 4 inches wider. This is what you do if you were puting in a after market intake and the filter would just go where the resonator was.
I also removed the airfilter to show that a 2 inch PVC pipe fit perfectly where the old pipe was. Using a 3 inch long secton, and 2 45 degree angle conectors. Using these i lined up the last 45 degree angle connector with the hole i made going under the bumper.
This is the pipe after the last connection i mentioned earlier. Here i made a hole the same size as the one in the original intake and placed the gromet in this peice of pipe. This is where my IAT Sensor will go.(Intake Air Temperature Sensor)
Now here is where i stopped, after painting it and replaceing the sensor, but i wanted Ram air , this mod helped alot but the whole idea of air being forced in my engine. So i did this:
I added 2 more 45 degree angle conections and a single pipe and aimed them at a cosmetic grill in my bumper. If i had the driving lights (OEM) then this wouldnt have worked, it has a slight titlt downward.
This is the finished product. A full cold air intake with ram air. Belive me when i say THIS MOD WORKS.
