SOLD. This beauty was purchased new at the end of 2000 when it first came out. I really wanted the R/T model, but they were not yet available in Phoenix. This car had all the R/T equipment except the fog lights, which the salesman told me could be installed with no problem in the service department. LIE number 1 of MANY from this dealer, Lou Grubb Dodge, now Power Dodge.
This is the drivers' side just before I sold the car. It cost me several thousand dollars to get it into good enough shape to sell with good conscience.
This is the left rear after the fourth paint job. The dealer painted the car three times due to lousy Mercedes quality control and lousy Mercedes paint orange peeling. Needless to say, the dealer did a terrible job to teach me a lesson for complaining to Chrysler headquarters about them. The dealer also took off all the emblems and refused to replace them, insisting I was going to pay for them. Hence, no emblems on the car anywhere, not my choice. I finally paid a quality shop to sand the car down and paint it before I sold it. I didn't want the new owner to go through what I did.
Here is the good looking dash, sadly with minimal instruments. Mercedes did not think Dodge owners deserved to have an oil gauge so it was not even available as an option.
The 3.0 200 horsepower V6 is a great engine! Teamed with a decent 4-speed automatic, the front tires were easy to smoke with the traction control off. After 7 years and only 39,000 original miles, this car had the complete air conditioning system replaced, drivers power door lock and power window motor replaced, 4-speed transaxle replaced, all four disc brakes and rear calipers, factory AM/FM/CD/CASS replaced as well as two engine computers replaced. and it had to be painted FOUR times to get decent paint!!! And much more service work for shorts, electrical problems, alternator and on and on. I sold it a couple months ago, finally satisfied it was in good condition now. This is the LAST new Chrysler product I will purchase as long as Mercedes is involved. My father drove Chrysler products since 1926 and I have my entire life. NO MORE NEW. Sorry to leave this on a downer, but you need to be aware of the terrible vehicles Mercedes is passing off as Quality Chrysler Products.
