roadrage97's 1997 Pontiac Trans Am

Welcome to the story of my moneypit. I bought the car in early 98
even though I was looking for a Black 98 WS6 6speed. I was driving by the dealer, saw this one on the lot, and ended up driving it home.

I loved the car, but the stock 16" wheels weren't bling enough, so I bought my first mod..18" Eagle 077's, quickly followed by an Eiback 1 1/2" drop.

I figured the car was going to run low 13's when I took it to the track, man was i wrong. a few 14.3@96mph passes convinced me I needed more power. After meeting some people on camaroz28.com, I decided on an NX wet kit. running 100shot, it dropped me down to a 13.40. After some more helpful advice from some other f-body owners, I bought a Vigilante 2800 converter. 12.44@112,spraying the first 1/8th, but fuel pump couldnt keep up. I am now running a cc306 cam and ported heads, but my trans decided to die before I could get it to the track. I will get it back sooner or later.
