Well here's my trusty work truck. It had a busted tranny, but I finally got it fixed last year. It has a the 700. Now, I just have to get new updated plates for it so I can start driving it. I love how it sounds. At the light it rumbles obnoxiously, and when I step on the gas, it just growls away! =D

I traded a busted '87 Honda Accord and $300 for this truck! Pretty good deal, huh? The truck ran well for nearly a year, then the tranny gave out. It wouldn't shift out of first. I'm so glad it's running now.

It used to have a 305 at some point, but one of the previous owners put a 350 engine, a 600cfm carb, Hooker headers, glasspack mufflers bolted on to the headers, and thats it! I might get some sportier tires for it later on instead of the all-terrain ones, cuz Im not really into the offraoding stuff. I preffer riding on pavement. No offense to the offroaders out there, I just hate having to scrubb off all the mud after driving through a mess!

Even with the all-terrain tires, it can still make them squeal without having to hold down the brake!

It has old Hooker headers and glasspack mufflers. They're pretty crusty, but they're intact and they sound well.

I re-painted the front grille and light bezels myself with regular spray cans. Looks good to me.

I also re-painted the rear bumer. I left the bolts shinny, though.

I replaced the hazy tailight covers with some new ones from the auto parts store. I think they cost like $20 for the pair. I removed the old ones, first. Then I spray-painted the inside base with silver paint. I installed brand new bulbs, then I just screwed on the new covers. They light up a lot better.

I think the shinniest part of the truck is the mirrors. lol

So I bought a new Edelbrock air filter. Now THIS is the shiniest part of the truck. haha

Nice truck. I love the 73-87 bodystyles. She's definitely worth fixing. You could probably find a used tranny for around $300.
