APC Short-Ram Intake
Scored this off Ebay for next to nothing.
Sounds badass, supposedly about a 5hp gain. More of a "wow" thing than a super duper performance mod.
I took the newer, better set of Pioneer 6x9s from the truck and installed them in the rear deck where the factory 6x9s had been. They scream, and I have to fade the audio forward a few notches or else I don't hear the front speakers.
And true, quality audio installs are heard, not seen.
For the doors I picked up a set of 4-way Pioneer 6.5s. I'm not very happy with the sound quality of the midbass from them, but the highs are crystal clear and the upper mids are decent.
The factory head unit had to go, so I bought the install box for a regular DIN unit, namely, my Pioneer DEH-5800MP.
Of course no system is complete without brain-melting bass, and for that, I went to Rockford Fosgate. I went with two RF Punch Stage 1 10" subwoofers.
To power these beasts I purchased an 1800watt Punch P600.2 2-channel amp from Ebay.
My father and I built a custom inclosure to fit the speakers to match the optimum box volume per Rockford Fosgate. We also built amp racks for both the Punch amp, and the Pioneer GM-6200F 600watt 4-channel amp powering the highs. A friend and I carpeted everything in OE carpet material.
This is the end result:
After riding around in the truck with 5% tint on the back glass, 35% on the windows, and 5% strip on the windshield, it was quite a shock to ride in a car with ZERO tint. SO, I had my uncle, a professional window tinter, help me remedy this problem. I went the legal limit (45/35/20, front doors, rear doors, back glass), and I plan on getting a strip of 10% on the windshield as soon as possible.
Here is how it looked right after completion, kinda cloudy, reference other, newer pics for better perspective.
