This model'65 bug was given to me by my father-n-law who was the 1st owner of this car.He bought it way back in 1965, my wife was'nt born yet at that time (The original receipt of purchase and original owner's manual is still intact & w/ me).
When I first took it home last December, it was in very good condition except for a little rust on parts of the body & flooring where you would expect them to be.Considering, this car was in storage for quite awhile.
Recently, I had it restored in my own backyard. The body was taken off and repaired and the flooring was also taken off and replaced with an original german made flooring. The paint work was done by my painter using 2k Urethane paint. Of course, the interior was re-upholstered close to its original look. Next on the list will be the sound system, soooon.
