This car was my all-time favorite 'daily'...until I found my 'DREAM' GRAND PRIX. (Just replaced this with my '00 GTX!)
I really wish I could've kept this one too- and kept up with the plan mentioned below- but I got an offer I couldn't refuse.
'The Blue' is a 5-speed GP GT coupe. I believe they only made the "GT" coupes until '93...?
I can honestly say that I LOVED this car! SOOO fun...
This Grand Prix has the "DUAL TWIN CAM V6" engine (LQ1). The 210-cubic-inch, 24-valve, DOHC V6 engine is def a GOOD runner when mated to the manual tranny. So when I found this "GT" coupe with the rear buckets seats and dual, power-adjustable front seats (AQ9 interior package) I JUMPED on the deal!
Really, the BEST thing about this 3.4 engine is that is was available with a Getrag/Muncie 5-speed though.
The 191 cubic inch OHV 3.1 V6 engine was NOT available with the sweet manual tranny -Just a 4-speed Auto! Although, I don't know WHY the hell not. ??? I mean it WAS available with a manual in the Sunbird and Cavalier! (I actually LIKE the 3.1 V6's 'reliablity' factor more than the Twin Cam, but whatever)
What's cool is that both engines in these cars both have that AUTHENTIC, oldschool-GM-soundin' exhaust that you often heard/hear from the old Lumina Z34's and the old Cavi Z24's...
This car's future MAY hold sitting on some GODDAYAAAAMN AIR BAGS (like 'the Red :) with some SICK wheels....being LAYED out !
-Gotta have them GROUND effects ON the GROUND mannnnnn!!!!
I can see a set of chrome 19 or 20" Alba banks going on this and looking REAL sweet too!
Just for fun..
