I bought this brumby as we call them downunder last July 06 on Trademe for $1350 it was micanicly sound bit of bog had been done and was in need of a paint and some TLC
I was after a project and i got 1 the drivers seat was well worn the rear canopy window smashed, no working standard radio and it burns oil. There was also a few unwanted noises and a rust whole in the passengers door.
First to go were the seats replaced with standard WRX bucket seats a score out of my bros mates car. The rust hole was fixed by my bro a welder by trade and a custom exhust manufacturer as a hobby that was his last job he was killed on his way to work the next morning in a car crash. He was keen as to do the exhust on the truck cos its super easy. So its ashame he'll never get to do it However i have a mate that has a muffler my bro made and hes keen to give it to me so he'll get part of his wish. Ill pick it up next week hopefully.
Got the paint job done home job not to bad for a first time but ill need to do it again cos its a bit thin in places
In the last few weeks ive had to do some work to get my WOF little rust and have replaced both rear wheel bearings fingers crossed ill get the WOF this time. Once ive got the WOF im going to install the stainless exhust, alluminium checker plate to the floor of the cab, the car Audio (currently waiting to go in is 2 8" fusion subs and a 1200w fusion amp) yet to get the rest but im looking at some Clarion 6" component speakers and maybe a Blaupunkt head unit. Oh and the bumbers are going they look to sad may replace the back one with a custom stainless 1 and the front one not sure yet but it needs to be straightend and painted or replaced dont know if i should put bullbars on the front tho.

Ok ive been doing alot of thinking cos i have some macanical issues at the momment but i jumped in today and ive bought a 91 2.2 Subaru lagacy wagon with some panel damage and hopefully going to up grade the EA81 1800 carby engin (currently in my truck) with the EJ22 injected engin along with the 5 speed box and maybe some bits of the running gear. I was thinking of retaining an original 2wd/4wd HI/LO box but decided against it cos i know how i drive and with the extra speed and power i think the fulltime 4wd of the modern subie will be safer for me and in the low gears ill still have plenty of grunt for off road. So watch this page and we'll see what happins.
My Legacy Engine which i will be putting into my truck.
Starting the engine replacement:

Yeah the EJ22 is siting in the engine bay finally how ever this is where its going to stay for a while Im off to Canada for a year so it'll be parked up for a while untill i get back and connect it all up. Its looking good.
