Icefury's 2000 Ford SVT Contour

I'm the satisfied owner of a 2000 SVT Contour. Alot of time & hard work, sacrificed paychecks, and innovation have gone into making my SVT Contour what it is today. Dare I say one of the nicest looking and extensively modified SVT Contour's on the road. An absolute blast to drive and a near perfect balance between handling and performance.

This ain't your momma's daily beater Contour! This fair weather weekend & evening driven sleeper delights in punishing ricers, gives (non-turbo) semi-sport cars (Mustang GT, 350Z, etc) a REAL run for their money, and turns heads everywhere I go. This car will be with me for a L..O..N..G time to come!

Icefury's 2000 Ford SVT Contour

This "was" my previous pride and joy, a moderately modified 1999 MTX V6 Mercury Cougar which I bought brand new. After moving to Minnesota, I quickly realized that the rough North country roads was no place for this slammed native Florida beauty. So I sold it and got the SVT Contour to replace it. It was not easy to let it go, especially given the fact it's new owner was a 17yr old kid who wrecked his previous car (the mother bought it for her son).

(Sigh)... would you buy this car and give it to a woefully inexperienced driver who's still in high school? We'll... as you can probably imagine, one night just 3 weeks later he totaled it in a 65 mile an hour head on collision with 2 of his friends in the car. Thankfully, nobody was seriously hurt (amazing) but this Cougar will never ride again.

R. I. P. (sure had alot of great memories with this car and the folks over @ NECO). Moving on... (Page 2)

Deff, love the car. everybody has commented about the headlamps, which are cool, but I like the se decklid on the back. Makes the car look cleaner. I know the wheels are 17's but they look bigger.

Thanks for ther feedback guys, really apperciate it. The Headlamps were done by a CEG member who goes by the name Pudmunkie. Sadly, less than 10 sets of these headlamps were ever created as it is a labor intensive project that he was undercharging for. The last set he sold went for $1700 and since he sold his CSVT, he no longer does the projector headlamps retrofits. I will have several new shots of some new mods I've done. Stay tuned!

5 Stars. Great Job. Quite Curious Though, Who Did Your Headlamps? I Know Their Custom, But The Job On Them Is Immense.
