Russ's 1990 Toyota P/U
well, i totalled the truck on september 10, 2008. i got her up to 281,181 miles, which is a good 45,000 miles since i bought her. I did get a new 1998 Toyota T-100, which is extremely clean. check it out.

doesn't look that bad, but there was some frame damage which would have been pretty expensive to fix. it turned out to be more than i paid for the truck in the first place...
In July, i bought a set of 31x10.5R15 Dominator A/T's from a friend for $200. Ill have them on by the end of the month.

the truck recently rolled over to 264,000 miles while at bandimere in the middle of a run. even after $2000 being put into it, im very proud of it and the work that has been done to it.
Update-12/24/2007-did the timing belt today...real lucky i did. the master tech that i am apprenticing under thinks it wouldnt have lasted another 3 thousand miles...also replaced water pump, crank seal, tensioner pulley, water outlet pulley and the belt.

03/02/2008-just rolled over to 272,000 miles...

Here's the truck right after i put the exhaust mentioned below on.
well, i bought the truck in october, 2005, for $3500.it had 235,000 miles on it, and i was only thinking i would have it for a little while, while i looked for a new chevy or something. that lasted all of a day. within a month, it had a K&n drop in filter, a Kenwood deck with two 6 in. speakers in the door ($350), and a couple other minor things.
after that, the modifications slowly piled on, starting with a K&n FIPK ($160) with new piping off of the throttle body ($45), then the doug thorley exhaust ($250), and new tires ($300). ive done a new TRD clutch ($290), a new fuel pressure damper and new intake manifold gasket ($125), new throttle body ($25), replaced the alternator (FREE!!!)(after i caught it on fire!!), then replaced that one when it crapped out, and many other mods. the most recent additions include an autometer sport comp monster tachometer (FREE!!!) which i took out of the truck just before the accident.

After the tachometer, i finally got the time and motivation to put in my headers. it was an ordeal, because my truck doesnt have a lift or a body lift. it took around two weeks, partly because i had to wait a few days for parts to arrive from downey. but finally, the headers are on and i couldnt be happier!!!
