Welcome to my Cardomain page.
This is my 1991 mitsubishi eclipse. It was given to me for free from a junkyard and all they told me was that if I could get it to run then I could take it home. I switched out the computer and it started right up. I then decided instead of getting new light motors that I would just do a front end conversion. It was a very simple process and took only a couple of days. I also purchaced a set of SR rims for a very cheap price of $100 because the guy just wanted to get rid of them. After that was all done instead of doing the smart thing and getting a new motor I went with getting a bodykit that did not fit well at all. Thats what i get for getting it cheap. When all the body work was done I took it to get painted. When I picked the car up a few days later my rear bumper was cracked and the paint was matte looking on parts of the car. With the color paint I got they couldnt just do patchwork so they had to repaint the entire car. Which they didnt prep the car for the new paint and it just flaked off. Im never going to have Macco paint my car anymore. I'll paint the car myself before I take it to them again. When the car was all done I took it back to Florida and started school. One day when raining some stupid person cut me off and I hydroplaned into a truck. At that point I decided to redo my whole car. I am currently in the process of changing out the old worn out 1.8 liter with a rebuilt 2.0 DOHC. I also need to pull the right front side out about 1/2 inch to 1 inch, no big deal. I am also replacing the infamous faulty automatic transmission with a 5 speed manual transmission.
I purchased a 1991 Eclipse GS for a meer $400. The only bad thing about the motor that was that it broke a timing belt and an exhaust valve broke and punctured a hole in 1 of the pistons and roughed up the head a little. other then that everything else was good on the car. I took everything out that i could use and loaded it up with scrap metal from around the house and took it to the recycling center. I took the full wireing harness out except for the very back of the car. I also took off the trunk hatch, pedals, shifter, steering column, driver side and passenger side windows, blower motor, clutch master cylinder with clutch line, cruise control box, transmission and engine.
Here is a list of things of things I will be doing and getting for my car when I can.
-Carbon fiber pedals
-GReddy Counter Weight Shift Knob (1oz)
-Evo Front Bumper
-New steering wheel
-Carbon fiber hood
-BR Series or GT Series racing seats
Just a little update.
I recently purchaced another engine that I will be taking apart to see if anything is wrong internally. Going to be getting the stuff to start building up the motor. All that was missing from the engine i got was the valve cover which I have one here which is finished and ready to put on the engine when i get it done. Need to clean up some parts and paint the block.
Im also working on the body. Getting it all smooth and ready to paint. Need to get a rear bumper front bumper side molding peices and 1 part for the side skirt. Going to repaint the rims I have and may try to find some stock rims from a 98 eclipse. Wont be to much longer before I can drive it. I just need to get my license back.

The engine is finally in but i still have a little bit to do on it. I need to get some gaskets and a motor mount and hook up my throttle cable to the pedal. I also have to get all the belts and some hose and pipe connectors and then it should be running.
I also need to get a set of headers because both exhaust manifolds I have are cracked and only have 1 stud to bolt to the rest of the exhaust system.
