EXTERIOR
This is a picture of the car stock. Just the LeBra was added after the car was purchased. No rust/Minimul dents.
This is another picture of the car stock.
The front body kit is on and painted.
Here is another picture of the body kit. The paint did bubble in a few places despite our best efforts to put good coats of primer on it. The front clip will be sanded down and re-painted once the rest of the body kit is on. This was just the first coat. Eventually the car will be totally re-painted.
This is the new rear of the car. The new glass pack muffler was installed. (April 6, 2007)
This is a better picture of the muffler. The tip will be changed since this is the one that came with it. I plan on putting duel-tips on it to fill the space. The muffler had to be mounted low to make sure it cleared the back body clip that has yet to be installed.
This is a picture of the rear Chrysler symbol along with the gold Sebring LXi text.
This is just a picture to show where I put the turn signals in the front of my car. I thought it was a pretty clever place since they fit flush right up to it. We used some good glue to hold them into place. All of the white specs are snow, not paint chips.
This is a close up of the turn signals.
This is a picture of the bed liner coating on the inside of the sideskirts that I sprayed on for water protection.
These are pictures of the rear bumper with the bed liner coating also sprayed on the inside of it.
Here is a picture of the trunk primered and ready to be sanded and painted again. The trunk was showing sun spots because whoever used a buffer on it destroyed the clear cloat on the car. So the black on the car is turning white in spots. So we sanded down the whole trunk and are re-painting it.
Again, this is a picture of the sanded down and primered hood. The clear coat was also destroyed on the hood, creating sun spots and rust. All of that is gone now.
The windshield wipers where starting to fade/rust around the edges, so I fixed them up. I sanded them down to the metal and painted them gold.
The front nose clip was a little low in some places, creating a not so smooth look. So we made quick work of that, filling it in with body filler and painting it up with primer.
Here is the rear body clip getting ready to get its first coat of primer
Now the body kit has a coat of primer, we can get it ready to install.
Here is how we installed the body kit. This is a picture of the stock bumper on the car. The red are pieces of double sided tape with toggle angles screws in the middle.
Here is a picture of the body kit bumper with double sided tape along the inside of it.
Here is a picture showing how we made the holes in the rear body kit. We drilled holes and then tapered them so the screw head could be covered over with body filler so you cannot see them.
The rear clip is finally on after about only 30 minutes of mounting time. Here is a few different angles.
Here is a picture of the body clip and the exhaust pipe. It looks alot better now that the clip is on. I plan on getting a dual tip that will fill the entire space.
Here is a picture of the side skirts finally able to be primered. We had to shorten the height of them by about 1 3/4 inches because they where way to high. After that we sanded them down for a smooth finish.
Here is a picture after they have been primered.
This is a picture showing where we put the double sided tape on the side skirts.
Finally, the finished product, both sides are now on the car. (All of the white spots are little tiny flowers from a tree that hangs over my car)
Here are a few pictures with the screw spots filled over with body filler and sanded down.
Now the parts are primered.
The final product. The parts are done and primered.
After a nice wash and wax.
The new ASEC Decal for the rear window.
Getting it all centered and ready to put on.
Finally, after some scary moments and some thoughts that "this is never going to go on", the installation is complete!
Photoshop fun made by my brother.
My little "work bench" when I was painting my calipers.
The final product after all of the hard work that went into them.
After one tire/brake caliper is done. A big difference for the better!
And the right side of the car.
Started to sand the imperfections in the front bumper.
Then I filled it over with body filler.
Sanded down the body filler spots along with the whole bumper.
Then I put primer on it.
Then I painted it black with a clear cloat.
I sanded down and painted the rear end black w/ a clear coat.
I took off my old licenses plate border/screw covers and re-painted it gold. First I sanded it all down to basically a chrome color.
Then I painted primer on them.
Then I painted them gold.
I painted my trunk lid black w/ clear coat.
The trunk and rear lip painted.
I then painted a section of my side skirts gold, which will be faded into black.
I taped off my white drivers side door handle and painted it.
Finally.. I finished all of the painted. Painted the side skirts/ front bumper/ rear bumper/ roof/ trunk.
Decided to fix the rust in the wheel wells today:
Here is what it looked like.
So I made the general shape out of metal.
Then I put screws in it and shaped it more.
Then I painted it with truck bed coating to seal it.
Today I decided to paint my winter rims black. So First I taped them off
Then I primered them
Then I painted black with a clear coat ontop of it
Got them mounted on the car
