Is it another honda that you will be pimping? Oh yeah I got the surging to stop. I changed my spark plugs and air filter and added coolant to the radiator and canister and drove the car for almost 1,000 miles lol. I still have to replace the head gasket and scrape off the neon light glue from the previous owner and seal up the car cuz when it rains my car will have a wet floor on the passenger side. After it rains I take it to the car wash and use one of those vacuums to suck up the water because I am to lazy to use my own shop vac lol. I wish that they made aftermarket part for a d15b7 non vtech lol. And too bad that my car is an automatic. I will probably get another civic one day until then this one I have is my project car.

Thanks for your thoughts on my CRX. I still have $20,000 to put into her to get it the way I want. I figured the money would be better spent on a new ride. Plus I believe I have a buyer who is getting it for his brother who is a soldier that was injured in Iraq. They are going to finish the car up. I will be happy with that. I just don't have the time or patience to finish it up. It's been over 3 years. Your Civic is coming along, looking good. I hope it works out for you. Good luck

Thanks for checking out my whip (car). Yeah It does that idle surging mess in cold weather but not when it is warm outside or when the engine heats up. For some reason I added coolant to the car and added coolant directly in the radiator(do this with a cool engine only lol) and the surging is not really there but the idle is high. I changed the spark plugs and filter but it will do it again. Soon I will hit up a junkyard to see if i can find a matching fast idle thermal valve aka FITV. Here is a link that may help you also..........(Honda-Tech Forums) http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1003988 There is a tutorial that shows how to rip off the FITV and clean it or replace it. Or maybe you should re-do your idle by turning the idle screw and resetting the ecu(disconnect your battery for about 30sec to a couple of minutes.) after your set the idle then re-hook your battery. Honda engines are kind of different than any engine out there. I had to get a manual from my local library to help define the parts of the car. My main concern is passing the emissions test for it next year. I added u to my friend's list. I wanna see how this car turns out. Nice hatch!
