heres the 70 right where it was sitting when i got it behind a body shop in smithtown,N.Y. $5,000 for the car with doors and decklid, the whole front clip is repro mtal but was sanded with 36 so it had surface rust, thats all gone now and the doors are on and in primer, the car came with a full interior and 5 z/28 wheels, the chrome is all refinished and the chassis is 100% rust free and painted alreadythe car is getting a full hotchkis suspension and wilwood brakes front and rear and BMR fabrication tubular control arms. i dont kinow what wheels will be on the car but there not gonna be chrome and the tires wont be as thin as rubber bands
this is the motor when i got it from a freind from work, late 70's 350 from a van, 4 bolt mains and low mileage, lots of dirt and grime
this is the motor stripped of all the dirt and internals, bored .030" and boiled and ready for paint
2 coats of rust oleum chevy orange later, the oil pan was covered in black later on
this is the bottom end and heads, eagle crank and rods, its a sbc 400 crank boosting displacement up to 383, keith black pistons put the compression up to 11:1 under the edelbrock performer rpm heads the heads and intake are ported
this is the top ena and most acessories, performer rpm intake, bg demon carb, 750 cfm vaccuum secondaries and electric choke, msd pro billet distribuitor and 6AL box bow tie valve covers. not shown are the crane gold race rockers custom roller lifters and custom 509/528 lift cam, i say custom because it was custom ground to match my car and rear end spec and also made to fit the stroker crank being that the base circle on a stock aftermarket cam was too large and the connecting rods hit it, the whole motor was buitlt by me and my partner at my school
this is the bottom end and heads installed
the complete motor with the dynomax headers, i havent decided wether im using the or not because i have another set of jet hot headers too and they have bigger primaries, when the motor is dynoed im testing bot pairs to see whichare better, im expecting the motor to put out about 500 hp 525 tq with the 1.5 ratio rockers, they will be replaced with 1.6 or 1.7 ratio after about 5,000 mles and the thorough break in, that will boost it up to about 550 hp
this is the 10 bolt rear that i rebuilt for the car
the internals of the rear, lightweight richmond 3.73:1 ratio ring and pinion, and strange limited slip differential hardened axles will be installed when i pu the disc brakes on because i need to rip the axles out to install the brackets anyway, by the way both cars are built and paid for by me, there not momy and daddys cars titled under my name
UPDATE: schedueled with tony giresi to get minitubs and 6pt cage put in and get a fab9 housing narrowed, i picked up a 9" center
nodular case 35 spline axles, spool and 4:88 gears
