SS Dauntless: SS Dauntless is a 1971 CJ5. Restoration started in November, 2006. It combines automotive and marine concepts.

Original purchase picture. Two owner title. Plenty of rust and patches with a sway back, no brakes, broken front leaf spring and limited steering but it runs and drives. 225 Dauntless V6 odd-fire engine.

Work begins. Notice hammer and hacksaw.

SS Dauntless moved to winter home with double barrel wood stove. Deconstruction starts.

I said there was plenty of rust but forgot to mention debris.

Essential tools - sawsall, cutoff grinder and long 1/2" breaker bar.
New tires - BF Goodrich Rugged Trail (31 X 10.5). Cost for all 4 was $435 mounted and balanced.
