This is my 1972 Datsun 521 pickup. Its got the Nissan/Datsun L20b motor from a 1978 510 and a five speed from a 200sx. Most people go lower with these but this one was taken up. 5" as of March 2007. Its got 33" MTR's for tires on 15" crawler rims. The top has been chopped and a soft top added. Plenty of tube steel for a roll cage and 4 point harnesses were installed. The axles diffs and transfer case came off a 1988 Suzuki Samurai. so its a divorced transfer case. driveshafts were custom built to adapt to the new lengths. Custom sheet metal for the center console and the overhang near the windshield. The sheet metal overhang houses two 4"x4" all weather speakers and there are two 6"x9" speakers mounted behind each of the seats. Motor was rebuilt in 3/07 and there are about 500 miles on the motor after that. Being a 1972 its got fully custom exhaust from the header back. 4.11 gears. Very cool ride. I have a Suzuki Samurai, and the axles are great. Excellent work. I like both road cars and off road machines. Currently I am getting a new motor for my Suzuki Samurai. My Datsun 610 has an L20B, and I know those L20Bs are powerfull. Great work!!!!!! Jaime.____________________________________________________
