Updates/Text Page:
3-10-07: Re-wired the parking lights to an aftermarket switch since there was a grounding issue somewhere in the car where the taillights/parking lights were grounding out. Now I can actually drive at night!
3-11-07: Got the car tinted today since it really needed something, it gets too hot in there without the tint! Happy to have gotten that done!
3-13-07: Got my F1 mirrors in the mail, so I installed and mounted them since I was driving around without mirrors and it was very dangerous! Now I can actually change lanes safer since there is something there to look at!
3-16-07: Made the custom amp rack behind the driver seat, inslatted the 2 dustribution blocks and ran the amp kit and wiring. Also received my 8000K HID kit in the mail so I got excited and had to install that today as well, made for a long day I can say!
3/19/07: Installed the old sony headunit from my wife's Jetta that came in it since I got my dash kit in today. I think the headunit is ok, but it isn't what I want, I'll end up replacing it soon I'm sure.
3-20-07: Took the car to the dealership and had then install the new AC condenser since the stock one was damaged and leaking from a rock hitting it. Now I have working AC!
3-21-07: Installed all the new speakers in the car (front door, tweeters, and rear deck speakers)
3-22-07: Installed my In-Dash DVD/TV touch screen headunit and also installed my subwoofers in the trunk since the sub box arrived this morning.
3-28-07: Installed my Carbon Fiber door pillars since the stock ones were completely scratched up.
3-29-07: Installed my "Z" dealership trunk carpet since all I had in there before was the stock trunk mat which slid around when I turned corners.
3-30-07: Received my door sills in the mail today and installed them, looked much better than the blank area when you opened the door to enter the car!
4-4-07: Got my LED tails in the mail and installed them, sort of unique and bubble, but the LED looks cooler than the ugly stock bulb shape
4-5-07: Catback system and Y-pipe arrived today! Have to wait until the 14th to install them, same day as I install my lowering springs!
4-9-07: Got my new floor mats in the mail! Good thing since my driver side floor mat is gross and there is no passanger side! Got brand new ones thanks to a my350z.com member!
4-14-07: Today I went to the Naval Base and with the nelp of a my350z.com member we installed the Tein s-tech lowering springs on the front and the rear. We also installed the y-pipe and catback system as well! The car looks great and sounds great too!
4-14-07: After the installation of all the parts, when going to film a flyby of the exhaust sound I got inot an accident and cracked up the passanger side front bumper and fender. Now I have to have the whole front end repainted to blend all of the damage and get it fixed.
4-16-07: The first starting of taking apart the front end and fiberglassing/bondo the passenger side front end to remold the bumper and fix the cracks from the accident.
4-21-07: had to get hew front tires in a smaller size to fit the fender because after the bodywork the tires were rubbing the bumper (also because the car is settling from being lowered last weekend)
Also got my JSP reverse vented cf hood today. It has gaps but after the paintjob I will buy the proper moldings to put around the outside of the hood to close the gaps.
4-23-07: Dropped the car off at the paintshop to repaint the bottom half of the car blue after the accident and fix all the minor stress cracks in little areas around the car.
4-25-07: Picked up car from the paintshop and they had repainted the bottom half the car blue again and remolded all the cracks in the bodywork. Overall the car looks good until I have the money to drop it off to get the roof repaired!
5-15-07: Got the Veilside V.2 carbon fiber rear wing! Will install it soon, Looks like a porsche wing to me!
5-16-07: First Z-Meet at "Taboo" a club on Ventura with 3 other z-members, nice to finally meet some locals!
5-20-07: Installed my carbon fiber Veilside rear wing today, looks great in my oppinion!
5-27-07: Supercar Sunday with 2 other z-members. over 300 cars there and lots of fun seeing rich people and their cars!
6-5-07: Performed the clutch sensor height mod, DAMN that makes the clutch on this car more manageable and easier to drive, especially in traffic!
6-6-07: Got my AC condenser installed at WestCo Nissan finally now I've got working AC in my ride just in time for summer!
6-21-07: Received my Edge Racing Test Pipes and my Stillen engine torque damper, can't wait to install them soon!
6-24-07: Installed the test pipes and engine torque damper today. Motor definately doesn't sway around as much! Thank god for the great torque damper! As for the test pipes they are raspy as fuck, but hopefully over time they will die down a bit and not rasp so much, but the growl is loud as heck.
7-17-07: A huge rock had hit my windshield the other day causing my entire windshield to spread full of cracks. Got it replaced with a new one that looks great! Later that day I got a new windshield visor strip. Looks back to normal now!
8-1-07: Fixed my suspension issue that was causing the driver side to sit over an inch higher than the passanger side. Thanks to Precision Z the car rides straight again!
8-8-07: After letting the suspension settle a little bit, went in for an alignment and watched the shop dyno a 2004 Ferrari 360 Modena! That shit was loud with high flow cats and an exhaust system!
8-30-07: Replaced my 2 12 Fosgates that I have had since 2004 for a set of Audiobahn AW1200Q which can be wired down to 1-ohm and my amp can handle it enough so they bump pretty good!
10-3-07: Finally after 4 months got in touch with someone in Massachussetts who has the only one of a kind sub box for 2 12s for the 350Z that was made by Mike of Zenclosures. Had him ship the box out to me, installed it today, very happy and it sounds great! It was hard to find a nice box that would fit 2 12s and fit between the seats and the strut bar.
11-6-07: After months of the lowering springs on the stock shocks, they began to sag, so I had to get a new set of performance shocks from KYB. I decided to get the GR2 model as I have had them before and work very well with lowering springs.
1-17-08: Had to ditch the cold air intake. It was too low and for some reason sucked up lots of water during heavy rains, so I got a short ram intake today to eliminate the chance of sucking up more water and damaging the engine.
1-24-08: Got my Tein rear lower camber arms installed today and an alignment as well. The car rides rougher and stiffer but at least my tires will get more wear out of them now that the camber is better. I would recommend anyone who lowers this car to definately get camber arms for the rear to help with this adjustment!
2-6-08: Drove to Glendale to get a different CF hood. Bought a hood off a 350z forum member. It is a Seibon TS style cf vented hood with red Sparco Hood pins on it. Installed it today and it fits and looks MUCH BETTER than the old nasty/faded JSP hood I had!
3-19-08: Got a new driver side mirror visor as my old one had broken glass/mirror and the swivel was broken so it would fall down everytime I hit a bump! Glad to finally have a new one!
