1971 Plymouth GTX

Finished in factory Formal Black with contrasting Gunmetal interior. Only known 4 spdeed 71 GTX in this color combo. Equipped with the 440 4 Barrel engine coupled to a 4 speed transmission which came standard with a 3.54 Dana 60 out back. Other factory options include console, tach, belt moldings and 15x7 Rally wheels wearing Good Year Polyglas GT G60 tires. Air Grabber hood and spoilers were added early in the vehicle's life. It was originally sold in NJ, moved to FL where it lay dormant for many years and then restored by Mike Henderson in TN.

there were like only 135 gtx's built in the 1971 model year. that makes this one super rare.

I just saw one of these in Chevy High Performance, and I thought it was very intersting looking. The front of the 71-72 Charger/ Road Runner, and the body of the 70-74 Challenger/ Barricuda. I absolutely love it, and this one is a perfect example! 5 stars for sure!

Beautiful ride! If you havent visited my page lately, I have posted a couple of original 1971 Chrysler - Plymouth sales brochures. Check out what your car looked like in the original sales brochure, and some of the styles and options that were available in 1971. Its kinda cool! Thanks.
