Hi this is my 97 900se turbo coupe. i bought this to replace the 900 classic that fell to the infamous weak transmission. I purchased this for 400 bucks from a kid who just wanted to get rid of it. I had to replace the headgasket and fix a power steering line and replace one rim because he hit a curb and took about a 5 inch section of the lip off. Thanks to craigslist i got 3 rims for 80 bucks. It has a new tranny and clutch. Also a new stainless JT 3" exhaust form the turbo back. The thing sounds mean. I have a pioneer 10 powered by an mtx amp, these sounded great in the old 900. these are the only pics i have now from when the kid emailed me when i fist inquired about the car. i will have more up soon.

I have recently made the the wingless grill removed all the chrome strips from the bumpers, I think it looks much better. Along with the smoked side markers to get rid of the foolish orange ones. A boost gauge in the head light switch socket and relocated teh swithc to the kick pannel. A silver dash kit. Also some vintage style emblems. Created a hood protection strip out of rubberized undercoating and painted it a gloss black to match the car.

Alright so I was driving along and heard a loud knocking from the engine and started to limp if home since i was only about a mile from home. And the she died and that was it, the engine died and would not start. So i installed a new engine instead of trying to track down the issue inside the old engine. The new engine is in with a new intake from GS and runnning great. And upon inspection of the old engine, I found a bad rod bearing in number 1 and a broken ring in number 2.

The bearing from Number 1

I just finished putting in a new tranny and viggen clutch kit. I would suggest the up grade to a viggen clutch to any one. I grabs harder and quicker than stock. I did all the work myself with the help of a friend and it went pretty well. The hardest part was getting the tranny lined up with the engine just right. I had to replace the tranny because i blew a gear through the side. So i decided to do the clutch and a clutch cable at the same time. If you need to do this and have any questions just ask.

here are some pics of the aftermath of my old tranny.
