Midnite-Racer's 1990 Toyota Celica

This is my little offering, not madly moddified but then not totally standard either. Too Date i have added a fuel cut defender, manual boost controller, 3" down pipe (cat replacement), front mount intercooler, alloy race rad, 8x17 alloy wheels and a 4 branch manifold (header).

This is my Celica as it is at present.

When i bought the car it was in a sad way, the body was okay but the engine had been over heated badly, it had the wrong radiator fitted and did a good impression of a steam train.

As a measure of how bad the over heat was picture this . The radiator had melted where the cap goes on. The plug leads had melted down over the plugs and moulded over the head. The distributor cap had melted and reset so the screw heads had sunk into the cap. Dispite all this the car ran really well and could be run for half an hour with out problems.

To get the plugs out i had to snap them off so i could get a socket on the plug nut.
