This piece of art was done by my son for my 50th birthday.
The influence is obvious,as well as the talent.
Lucky I weld Alum. and have a friend with a welder I could use.
These 5 pics represent a lot of time, cut it,grind it, drive to my buddies to tack it, drive home, test fit, break tack, back to buddies,MAN WILL IT EVER END!!! The fit on these pieces has to be right because the engine also operates under vaccum at idle and low load, eventually I got it
This pic is how the engine compartment looks now with
about 2000 miles on it. It now needs a full tear down
to polish all that aluminum , but it's too much fun to drive!
Well, we had our local car show this past weekend and although my car isn't totally legal I got a permit to
operate it for the weekend. The oil pan is pretty low
and not payng enough attention I hit a rock (big Ffin!)
and broke the aluminum oil pan, I'll post a pic when I
get it off!
I finally worked up the guts to jack up the car and take a look at the damage, gezz I did a # on it!
Got the dam thing fixed! Spose I'll be a little more careful?
Pics on next page.
