Engine rebuild and tranny swap
I had my engine completely rebuilt and a 5 speed swapped into the van by nomadman2001 (on www.turbododge.com) down in Enfield, CT. He's a great guy; very friendly and works with you... and does awesome work! You should see his LeBaron :D
As you can see, the motor had pretty much had it. 260,000 miles... cracked head, slipping 3spd automatic tranny, tons of oil leaks, piston slap... what a mess.

The block was bored .020 over with a torque plate, all new bearings/seals/freeze plugs, etc. Hot tanked and painted black.
Balance shafts removed and oil plug closed
New rods from FWDPerformance... T2 rods that have been shot-peened, tops drilled for better oiling, and ARP rod bolts.
Crank was polished.
Head was completely rebuilt.
Mopar head gasket.
Intake and valve cover bead blasted and done with a black crinkle finish with polished raised areas.
All new head bolts.
Oil pickup enlarged
Motor all assembled
Ready to bolt in
