Ford F-350 PSD Purchased 3-20-07. 210K Have changed all filters, oils etc. Have had a few problems with this truck now, pretty odvious that the previous owner didn't take very good care of this truck so it's up to me to play catch up on things that should have been done many miles ago.

Ford with "the better idea" come up with a thing called a Dual Mass Flywheel where as the flywheel is engineered to dampen the rotary peeks created by the powerfull 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel engine instead of the traditional clutch disk and solid flywheel set up. There is a conversion kit made by several manufactures that coverts to the traditional flywheel/clutch configuration.
Here is a picture of the flywheel that was just about ready to seperate and take out the bell housing. Notice the ball bearings missing and flatened. Ball bearing fell all over the floor when I pulled the fly wheel off, so did little pieces of metal.

Here's a picture of the 5 speed transmission on my bench, I had to drill and tap the oil fill and oil drain plug to 1/4"NPT since I couldn't budge them. Thanks guys from TheDieselStop.com
