This is "Splinter" A 1987 Turbo Lebaron Town and Country station wagon, with 120 on it. My first and current car I'am driving while I work on the regal. This is my beater, but I even treat beaters as my baby. Shes not the coolest looking car, but its unique and in decent shape. Chicks dig it (Im not lying either)

The cars paint is still glossy, no dents from hitting anything, interior is clean. Runs fine, pretty quick once you get past the turbo lag, starts to vibrate alot around 90 so havent taken it any higher. Bad stuff about the car, biggest is it has rust on bottom and body. So I did the hoosier fix on it and scrapped some off and put some rustoleum that almost matched perfectly, just to slow it down. Some hail damage. Almost all the power window switches dont work, I can still roll down most with the master, except my own. A couple of other things, Like shocks for rear door, rear wiper blade, and a spare, that needs plugging Mainly just because of my lazyness, and the fact that I was saving up for my Regal.

How I got a Splinter:
Pretty much got this car for free, maybe like 80 bucks for a couple of parts. My grandparents bought this car new, and garaged it most of its life. When my grandma died, my grandpa had little use for an extra car, so he sold it to my sister for a dollar. My sister and her boyfriend drove this car around for about 6-12 months, when it started over heating and idling rough.

So they dumped it at our house since I didnt have a car, where it sat for another 6 months, until somebody (probably my mom) called county and forced my dad to do something with it or else pay a fine. We thought it had a bad head gasket but it just need some new lines and heater valve, that we broke trying to replace the lines. A inspection, some tuning by a mechanic, and some new highbeams and It was ready to go. I use the car mostly for driving to school, and for work twice a week. Only put 4 thousand on it in the year ive been driving it, mostly because Id go back and forth from school more than once a day. But it runs, is unique, in decent shape and paid next to nothing for it, so I like it.

Plans:
No plans really, I wont be keeping it to much longer, Just to keep her running and in decent condition. Im paying my sisters boyfriend for his work on my Regal with Splinter. I do hope I get her again someday though, I love this stupid little car.
But If i ever do get her again, I will put some work into her, probably something like this

I'm not sure if it's going to have room for a mattress in the back, with the backseats folded down, but I'm sure a sleeping bag and some pillows will fit.Try that in the backseat of a Corvette. The stationwagon, the real man's car! ;-) Girls will be impressed.and even pleased,if the accomodations come with a little more room than the average backseat.
