marquisman's 1988 Mercury Colony Park

the wagon with my other cars

this is my 1988 mercury grandmarquis colony park i bought for a hundred bux in march 2007. upon picking it up, i thought i was buying a beater, but that aint the case. it has been maintained and rustproofed regularly and has minimal rust! it has 287000K so that gives me an excuse to put a 5L HO engine in it!

the next day that i brought it home

Great looking wagon!..I like the shade of interiour you got.Makes the velour(velveteen, whatever)look shiney.HO?..Is that more than the standard 157 hp?..I live in California, before putting one in my car,I'd probably have to check if it's legal to put one in.My car still needs to pass three more smog tests.

heyy. i have an 87 mercurcy colony park marquis as well. It runs great but it has a few minor glitches. Lately the back door won't lock. I took off the back paneling on the door and all the mechanisms seem to be working fine. Also, the door will go into the lock position when the door is open, but not when it is closed, which gives me the idea that it isn't latching properly. In your work on your wagon, have you dealt with anything like that, and if so, any suggestions?
