Darkterrin's 1991 Plymouth Acclaim

ME !!!!!! Current
Our Car Club

Page 5 has the newest Pics

I got this 1991 Plymouth Acclaim ....LE... From my mother a few years ago. but of course a free car meant that it dident work, My mother had ran it out of oil and seized up the engine an totally screwed the transmission. and after sitting for about 3 years i finally got the money to buy a new motor and transmission at the price of $3500 dollars, the motor i bought was a 3.0 liter V6, which was the same motor that was originally in the car however, the transmission i bought was a 4 speed transmission instead of the 3 speed that was originally in the car. The new motor and transmission came from a 1993 Dodge Spirit ES which had about 55,000 miles on it since then i have put about 20,000 miles on it. So right now the car in total has about 161,500 miles on it.

Along with changing the motor and transmission i have bought these parts
.New Alternator-$100
.New Pully system-$120
.New Belts-$25
.New Radiator-$100
.New Carpet-$30
.Four New Tires-$380
.Center Floor Shift conversion-$60
.Two bucket seats-from 1993 Spirit ES-$100
.New Electric Window Motor-Driver Side-$37
.Trip Computer-from 1993 Spirit ES-$15
.Four Oil Changes 3 by Walmart Tire Lube Express one by myself $20 dollars each
I also bought a 1991 Dodge Spirit for parts for $60 dollars i should have tried to fix it since it was in great shape and the only thing wrong with it was the engine had a burnt piston ring, or rings if your interested in buying the motor and transmission from the Dodge Spirit contact me darkterrin@hotmail.com.
But any way I took misalliance things from the Dodge.
.Battery
.Tires
.Gauges
.Front Seats
.Dodge Emblems
.Front Blinkers
.Breaks

the dodge
Which keep in mind were all new or jus a couple months old
Great Deal on the car
I was gonna take the muffler but I wasent to sure how good it was. Lmao I ripped off the old one by rallying the car on Jump Off Joe mountain. No muffler sounds pretty rad but I think Im gonna just go buy a cherry bomb or purple hornet an put on it.
sad to say no more rallying the car every time I do I end up breaking something.
I also grabbed the Dodge Hubcaps I liked them better

I will have pics of both cars soon enough jus be patient

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!
You know how I said that the car I bought for $60 dollars wouldn't run because of a piston ring well I lied I was about to sell it to a salvage yard an something told me to try starting it again and after a few tries and some thinking I thought I would change the fuel filter since that I bought a new one for my original car. so put the new one on the car and tried starting it again and after a couple tries the car went from a sputter to a beautiful purr and after the astonishment I said this cant be happening so I turned off the car an started it agin and it started right up..

UPDATE 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I took the front breaks off my dodge spirit which were brand new. Rotors and pads and when i went to install them on my car i found a weird pin thingy jammed between the pads an the rotors on my acclaim which was causing uneven wear on the pads. they were curved with plenty of pad at the top but down to the RIVETS at the bottom.which were creating grooves in my rotors. the reason why i changed my breaks was because every once in a while i herd a little squeak nothing big it was a good thing i caught it in time ..AND GET THIS the break caliper bolts were missing on the driver side!!!!!!!!! whoever replaced the breaks before defiantly screwed up.
