Putting in a custom carpet kit from SEWFINE. The company used my measurements and cut a bit of pile for MISTER HAPPY!. If you know anything about Sewfineproducts.com then you are aware that these guys are the best at VW interior designs.
I went with a Salt and Pepper color the look is clean. It will also fit well with the seat colors that I am also having made by them. Besides the fact that the Grey and Black brightens up the inside of the car. I had Sewfine also add a black cloth binding around the seperate pieces to impress the lady's (JOKE). Not really ,but it does make the carpet pop.
The install started with me having to remove the seats and mounting hardware. Then the old black EMPI crap that I had tossed in at a weak moment in the build-up several years ago.
Total the job took about 5 hours and a ice cold 12 pack of beer. The carpet was cut so well that even in my drunkin state I was able to get a perfect fit. Its good to measure twice or three times just to be sure. Custom means cash and no one like to burn it on a stupid mistake.
