This is a 75 Ford Courier Sasquatch... to my understanding they only made 1300 of the little buggers. This one is the old body style. Not the Ranger style. It obviously has a lift... And it now has power windows... It has an actual slap shifter in it, dual fuel tanks, edelbrock 500CFM carb, and a buick V-6 (which only has three thousand miles on it and the tranny) modified to the hilt!!! (The bed is also a lift bed)..
This is a rock crawler, you point it at a hill and it climbs it without hesitation. Of course lincoln-locking the front and rear spider gears does account for a bit.
webstertruckers's 1975 Ford Courier Our first test drive in the snow.. Awesome

webstertruckers's 1975 Ford Courier Tidied up the paint job...

webstertruckers's 1975 Ford Courier Side view...Those are 33x12.5 super swampers...

webstertruckers's 1975 Ford Courier Motor...Highly Modified Buick V-6...Pushing over 200 horse..Don't worry, when the V-6 finally wears down we will go back to Ford roots...  Is anyone firmiliar with putting a v-8 in these? Considering this route so we can get some better fuel mileage (lots of hills, 8% grade average). We are going to replace the carb set up since it dies going down hills, we may just adjust the floats we will see how much everything else costs.

webstertruckers's 1975 Ford Courier Edelbrock 500CFM carb...

webstertruckers's 1975 Ford Courier Slap Shifter...      This has been removed for an all metal shifter out of a 70 series pinto.  Which looks much better! It is still manual valva bodies. Photo coming soon...

webstertruckers's 1975 Ford Courier Interior... I still need to install the seatbelts.. the grey box on the door is the power window box.. going to repaint the truck thinking a barn red, then the blue on the door will be gone. Notice the aftermarket steering wheel. :)

webstertruckers's 1975 Ford Courier We had to install a stock ford steering wheel since last time we took it on the trails the aftermarket wheel stripped right out. I am going to refinish this steering wheel this summer. Hopefully.

webstertruckers's 1975 Ford Courier We installed a CB so that we could talk to the loggers (and stay out of their way).  This has been removed and we are trying to outfit a panel to fit here to  cover up all the stuff hangin down there... when we get it figured out we will post photos.. until then if anyone knows of a particular vehicle style that has one that would fit, we would be grateful for any extra information. We are going to permanently mount a CB in this truck so we can still go trail riding.  No more hard core though, that's what my Jeep is for.

webstertruckers's 1975 Ford Courier The original ATV tag (number 0345) proving a real Sasquatch. Took alot of work to find the thing it was hidden under about 8 coats of paint in the door jam.

We also finally found a decent Ford Courier tail gate, it had a Mazda tailgate when we bought it.  traded the guy straight across tailgate for tailgate.

If anyone knows of a larger master cylinder for the brakes that would bolt up (or have an item number) that would be awesome.  We have the original one which was too small for a four wheel drive let alone with 33's, they had a larger one for I believe the later years but we are having trouble getting it ordered.  The guys at NAPA and Schucks can't wrap their head around the idea of using a part from another vehicle to fix this one.  You should see them cock their heads when we get parts for the Studebaker which is Chevy motor and tranny.

Hey Thanks for looking at my Couirer. I have answers for you so here they are. It is not a factory set up. I guess they had one maybe at one point. Not really sure about that though. I used an axle from an 85 Toyota SR5 and Kept the stock front disk brakes as well as the rear drum brakes that came with the Couirer. It is hard to slow her down but still alll in all not to worried about it. I also put in a 302 with a C-4 Tranny which really made the difference in making those tires go round. It will spin the tire off the line no prob with a little chirpgoing into 2nd gear. The shift kit made that happen. I said spin the tire because the rear axle is still stock so limited or not so limited slip is what's going on back there. Hope I answerd your question somewhat. Have Fun!

You are correct about that being a rare truck. I've never seen one in real life. Most of them were destroyed by owners who incorrectly assumed that because it was a Japanese mini truck that it was a throw-away vehicle. Straight axle Toyota Hilux's met with the same fate and as a consequence are extremely rare and nearly impossible to find unbutchered. I've got a '74 2wd with 480,000 miles on it. I dare someone to find a full-size truck as old as mine or with as many miles that isn't a garage-kept rotisserie restored trailer queen. Mine sat in a guys back yard for 12 years because it needed rod bearings. $32 at Napa and 3 hours later I had a 30mpg truck that I've driven across country. If I asked nicely could you send me a few pics of your trucks suspension, transmission/transfer case and steering linkage? I'm thinking about putting on some old Jeep axles and re-powering with a Yanmar, Perkins or Kubota diesel. Interco makes a cookie-cutter looking 15 inch 31x9.5 Super swamper that makes little vehicles damn near unstoppable in the mud. You have a really neat truck. I'm jealous.
