I love this little camaro I bought on 3/10/2007 and sold sometime in dec of that same year. She's a well optioned car and she's a family Camaro, meaning until me, it's only had four owners that were all family, passed to one another through the past 22 years of it's life.
Stock this car cost as much as the Z28 did that year.

I've since found out that with all the options checked off that year, this car came out to an outstanding $14,627 dollars, that's $3,567 dollars worth of options above the base Berlinetta sticker price. Meaning she cost more than the IROC-Z did! Not including CA tax. Good reason to like this car.

Color: Red with gray metallic-accented headlight area and lower body striping, with medium dark Grey interior. RPO code 78L says she used to be Maroon Metallic with grey metallic-accented headlight area and lower body striping, with medium dark Grey interior. But I guess one of the previous owners painted her red metallic, I thought it was weird with the engine bay painted maroon but on the outside she's red, Now I know why.

Production: One of 7,986 V8 Berlinettas made in 1985,she was Built in Jan of 1985.

VIN: 1G1FS87H5FL429181

Engine: 4BBL 305c.i.

Trans: 4-Speed Auto.

Wheels: A total of five Berlinetta specific gold finned rims, of which I found are incorrect for the way the car was optioned, she came with the optional Z28 style 15X7 inch alloy rims, of which were optional that year for the base Sport Coupe and Berlinetta. But hey they look cool for now till I wear them out, then I'll put on the correct style, gotta love junkyards.

Tires: P215/70TR14 Sumitomo HTR T4 Ultra Premium Touring tires. They have a 75,000 mile warranty, they're grippy, feel very smooth even at high speeds (70 MPH plus) and they cost $460 out the door, all five tires mounted, balanced, and with a free repair, free replacement warranty.

Love this, got it from a fellow cardomain members page:

Making the 83 Crossfire hood into fully functional ram air, not a big dose of air but a decent amount when combined with the K&N Air Filter Lid. Just got to figure out the wiring and how to make operable from within side the car, all the while looking like a stock switch. Possibly an electric window switch will work, still unclear as to how the flaps are operated. Need a crossfire Camaro owner's help...need info...

Adding this very soon, lot better than what the junkyard offers.. Mine is black though, it's available through www.hawksthirdgenparts.com cost $75 bucks flat shipped to my door, not bad for some thing that cost half as much as a strut tower brace and does more for it...still want the STB for more structure though.

Have no fear, Dads Toy will not see the bone yard. Things have gotten a bit better than the last few years. Have a 350 sitting by just waiting to be rebuilt. Gonna try my daughter out in a JR dragster next year and she wants the camaro when shes old enough. So rest Easy. And thanks for checking My cars, Its all You people at CARDOMAIN that keep me going. Keep up the good work on your car and update often. Thanks Mike H.
