This is my car.

It is a 1990 Audi V8 Quattro.

The V8 was what the A8 is today and was Audi's flagship sedan from 1990 until 1994.

Some interesting facts.

The 1990 and 1991 V8's used the following configuration:

V8 3.6L
Horsepower: 240 @ 5800 rpm
Torque: 245 @ 4000 rpm

The 1992 through 1994 V8's use a larger engine displacement wise:

V8 4.2L
Horsepower: 276 @ 5800 rpm
Torque: 295 @ 4000 rpm

This is what lurks under the hood - a V8 3.6L engine, 32 valves, 4OHC. This configuration produces 240 horsepower @ 5800 rpm and 245 ft. lbs. of torque @ 4000 rpm.

This car goes from 0 - 60 mph in 8.7 s. It feels very powerful. This vehicle was not meant to be the quickest to 60 mph, but was meant for highway cruising and comfort. When you reach about 60 mph, this vehicle is only starting to wake up. It has extreme capabilities at highway speeds. I'll give you an example. A while ago, I was going 80 mph on a local highway. This Dodge Ram V10 was coming up fast from behind. When he got up right next to me, I accelerated and blew him away. I did the same to a V8 Pontiac Firebird just the past weekend too. Domestics? No problem.

I just thought of another race example. A week ago, I was at a red light with a new Nissan Maxima SE. Of course, he beat me acceleration wise, but it was neat to see where he maxed out at after a few seconds, and the Audi quickly blew him away. 13 years old and still owning the road.

The rings on the back of the V8 are what a lot of people see most of the time haha. See rings in your rearview mirror? Best be moving out of the way. This goes for any Audi.

The badging on the vehicle itself is awesome. The less the better. The anonymous look of it is very classy. Unlike domestics that need to put things like "ABS", "V6", "32 valve Northstar", "SRS", "24 valves", "DOHC" etc. all over their vehicles.

You have a very nice ride!!! I'm working on some upgrades on my '89 200TQ from a V8 I found on a junk yard (door panels and soon the back and front spoilers) and every time I open the hood I get amazed of the way the engine looks and I'm very sure it's powerful; mine it's a straight 5 10V that runs perfect with it's 4 platinum spark plugs... should we race? 5 stars for you my friend!!

nice car, I just bought the twin to yours, except with the sports seats in it, Hopefully it is good in the snow, the real reason why I bought it is I still want to be able to go fast during the winter months, haha.
