This is my work in progress, a 1997 Supercharged Buick Riviera, stone beige metallic.

I bought it as a daily driver till i could find some classic detroit iron to restore, but found that showing ricers that a Buick isnt just your grandpas grocery getter was a helluva lot more fun than pouring $$$$ and time into a 40+ year old muscle car. This car is definently a sleeper, it came stock with 240hp..nothing to sneeze at, but i know that with a little more engineering GM coulda pumped out way more considering their S/C 2.0 cobalt ss puts out 202, my 3.8 should be able to leave unsuspecting vtec's miles behind.

It handles like it looks, a little floaty at over 100, but it makes up in comfort what it lacks in cornering ability, it is after all a lux cruiser. Pick up from dead stop is awesome, but the addition of a manual transmission could have helped take advantage of the high rpm powerband. My mods so far are the addition of a chemical intercooler(a normal plate style intercooler costs 2,200 and is mostly unnessesary since it would only restrict airflow and the blower only comes on past half/throttle) a DNA performance muffler, K&N filter(soon to be a CAI) and a performance chip by Caspers.

My to-do list is as such.
>Removable bolt-on/off cat, also know as a "test pipe"
>Cam by Crane cams along with new springs and a higher ratio rocker arm set
>New Tranny
>possibly rebuild current engine or find a donor block to build from the ground up
>Apperance mods and sound system(mild), any advice is more than welcome as i am more of a mechanically/electronically inclined person and not that great at fiberfabbing or paint

>I welcome any and all positive Criticism, and ideas, suggestions or personal experience stories are greatly appreciated! also, dont be offended if i come off as a rice hater, id love nothing more than to have a lowered and insanely boosted Talon tsi awd (my personal favorite import) but ive always been and always will be a fan of American made bruisers!

anyway, her she is in all her glory(those rims are American Racing Estrellas on Fuzion ZRI's by the way, I think they clean the look up quite a bit)ALSO those of you who think this is a bit familiar it is because my old page crashed during a revamp.

That injection kit is sick...
Sorry I didn't respond to your post in my book earlier, haven't checked it in a long time.
Anyway, I was looking for a Riv when I came across my PAU. Love the interiors on those things. If you're interested in getting a lot more out of the motor, check out www.intense-racing.com. They've got everything you'll ever need to get yourself to any performance level you want. Also, check us out over on www.bonnevilleclub.com. We're all about the big 3800 cars.

Thanks, man! Check back for updates soon, I will post the startup video on photobucket. On the setup- it's a loooong story and look at the mod list to figure out the basics on my setup. I should have it running by the end of the month, but with projects like this it's hard to set deadlines. Been working on it (off and on) for about 2 years now :)

Nice Riviera! I made the spacer kit myself and was relativelly easy to install the headers, the 3" exhaust is my creation, using Magnaflow XL3 3" mufflers, like the ones on my Cutlass Supreme, check it out- it's allmost completed.
