AFTER 17 YEARS AND 55,000 MILES, THIS CAR DID THE JOB IT WAS DESIGNED TO DO...IT KEPT MY SON AND HIS FRIENDS ALIVE IN A HORRIFIC CRASH. See pics below.
This poor baby was cruising 35 MPH down the street when an Acura RSX Coupe moving about 50 MPH hit the Spirit in the left front fender and a Ford Explorer XLT also going about 50 simultaneously slammed into the driver's door. The structure held together and did not allow the Explorer in. The impact was so great that the frame of the driver's door was pushed in far enough to bend the steering column. My son, who was driving, suffered a concussion and many bruises. His buddy in the front seat received much bruising and abrasions where the seat belt and shoulder harness tore into him. Unfortunately, their dear friend sitting in the back seat got severely banged up...broken collarbone and broken jaw in two places. I thank God they are alive. Needless to say, the Spirit did not survive.
The final generation K car is the best platform Chrysler ever used! This is the front of the 1993 Spirit ES after the first paint job. It is two-tone, emerald green and medium grey. Although it did not show up very well in this pic, there is a huge flaming red ram decal in the center of the hood with the DODGE script at the base. When I got this car, which I bought on ebay and had it shipped from Connecticut last year, the paint was mostly gone, it was covered in dents and barely ran.
This is the rear view, which is what most people see. This is fully equipped with 3.0 V6, 4-speed automatic, dual exhaust and heavy duty suspension.
This is a profile view of the right side. Factory 15" wheels with special Ram-emblem center caps, dark-tint windows to the legal limit in Arizona and red letter decals from SignSpecialist.com for great lettering for any car. This is going to be upgraded in the next few months.
This is the interior with upgrade to the LeBaron woodgrain, factory AM/FM/CASS/CD Infinity system, new Clarion speakers to accompany the original power options, including seat. I replaced the red-striped seats with a nice velour seats from a LeBaron. Here is a better picture
of the red ram decal on the hood.
