My car is a merkur xr4ti. This car is not very well known here, but in my country,England, it is one of the most popular cars ever. It has a cosworth 4-cylinder engine mated to a nice little turbo, good for around 220 horsepower. It is also rear wheel drive and very light. This serves as a surprise to most people who line up next to what they think is a special edition escort. Enough about the car though, lets get on to the system. My theme was quality on a budget(i payed $100 for the car). I started with a nice new alpine head-unit, it has great features for a system. next came speakers, to start i decided to fill the factory holes. I opted for audiobahn ak402's, an excellant choice. But these 4" co-axials left me wanting bass, so i got 2 audiobahn AWC12DVC's. I payed $45 a each fpr these amazing subs. Next came the amp, i searched for months for a good amp at a good price. then i stumbled upon sounddomain, and i got a bossrev-835, 1000 watts and great features. I had a box from a previous install box(bandpass) and got a audiobahn 4-guage wiring kit. In two days the install was complete. it sounds great! my amp is barely on and the bass is set @-5 and it booms!

ukripper's 1987 Merkur XR4TIThis is my amp courtesy of sound domain, i have it bridged to my 12's and it sounds great,it is barely on and it pushes them hard
ukripper's 1987 Merkur XR4TIMy deck , what can you say about alpine they are quality. Many people don't know that the over-bearing green display can be changed to a phat looking amber-red
ukripper's 1987 Merkur XR4TIthis is the car, not mine but mine looks similar
ukripper's 1987 Merkur XR4TIthese are my rims, borbet type E's
I know this install is kind of boring but it all cost around $600 it is by far not over, i plan to add more highs,a cap, equalizer, and some sort of stealth install work on the amp and subs. I know these pics suck but i need to find a digital camera to put mine on. Thanks for looking at my site any suggestions are welcome.
