This is my 91 pontiac trans am. This car started life out as a very sorry hunter green 305 TBI 5 speed car. When I bought it, it was a wreck. The passenger door had rust bubbling through the seam, The interior was worn and a nasty tan color, the hood was completely faded, and the engine was tired with 130,000 miles on it. I picked it up for 1800$, and the only driving I did with it was from the old owners house to my garage....then the carnage began. I bought it for the soul purpose of a project car, and to show people how crazy you can make a third gen F-body car.

The old paint(both layers, haha) was completely sanded off and the entire car was taken down to bare metal. This project alone took about a month. There were a few spots that needed attention, but nothing serious at all, and the floorboards were in surprisingly good shape for a T-top car. After everything was stripped out of the engine bay and off the body, the car was sprayed with primer, and then the engine bay and door jambs were sprayed with 2006 GTO spice red. Absolutely NO corners were cut on this project.

As for the engine, a 77 chevy 350 block was used. It has been bored .30 over, and a complete eagle rotating assembly was put in. Block was also sprayed the body color of the car. The heads are aluminum trick flow 195cc with guideplates and 1.5 roller rockers. The cam used is a comp cams .477 lift cam, intake and exaust. Induction consists of an edelbrock air gap manifold, and barry grant mighty demon blow through 770 cfm carb. water pump, distributer, and all accesories are all brand new. The only non-aftermarket part of the engine is the block itself!!!

The turbo setup consists of a custom made turbo header by Ben Chase (www.camarotwinturbo.com) and an SLP shortie on the drivers side which have both been ceramic coated. The turbo itself is a GT45 turbo which I believe will support about 500-1000 horsepower. It is also fitted with all polished 3 inch tubing, and a front mount intercooler. Boost pressure is let out by a Greddy type RS blow off valve, and set by a turbonetics evolution wastegate. There will be a 3 inch downpipe into a borla catback. All this adds up to make one kick ass third gen!

interior still needs a little work, and the seats and everything needs to be cleaned up and dusted (they are brand new seats believe it or not, haha!)

I hope this build gives some people ideas on what you can turn an 1800$ beater into. Stay tuned as more pics of the progress will be added when they are taken.

THAT IS SICK DUDE, very nice clean job, it's kinda sad that so many goodies like (Edelbrock performance package, cams, I think it's called Runner RPM, only fits on Trans Ams from history to 1979, and it wont fit on our 3 gen F-Body
