Jax2A's 1959 Austin-Healey SpriteFeatures? Currently very rusty. One of my neighbors was going to pay someone to haul it to a scrap yard but I told him to give me a beer and I would take it. The Sprite was fairly complete except for motor and seats but partially disassembled. (The neighbor kept the motor to sell.) It is now completely blown apart. I'm in the process of de-crudifying the suspension components and cleaning and painting them.
Jax2A's 1959 Austin-Healey SpritePlan to take a week off in April 2007 to replace substructure and floors. As you can see it came with 3/4" plywood flooring just laying over what was left of the substructure.
Jax2A's 1959 Austin-Healey SpriteZetec motor is out of totaled 2001 Cougar with only 16k miles on it. I'll be converting it to RWD using a custom bellhousing and a T5 Mustang 5 speed.
Jax2A's 1959 Austin-Healey SpriteFuel will be handled by dual side draft Webers and ignition by a MegaJolt Lite Jr homemade module. Front disc brake conversion is under way using Civic rotors.

Jax2A's 1959 Austin-Healey SpritePicked up a set of old ETIV aluminum mags dirt cheap for it. I had previously bought a box of car and electronics stuff at a yard sell for fifty cents and in were four brand new (still in the boxes) Cragar center caps. Was going to put them on eBay but turns out they fit these wheels too.

Jax2A's 1959 Austin-Healey SpriteThings didn't go as planned in April. Had to use most of my vacation for cheerleading competition of my daughters. Their team did well but I didn't get much work done on the Sprite. Did trade some parts I wouldn't be using for a gas tank and quite a bit of usable replacement panels. Also got a crappy set of VW seats that I might be able to make work.

Sadly, I'm now a $2008 hopeful. Life conspired against me and I've had no time to apply to this project.

Awesome project. That this is going to be really cool and quick when it's done. Keep up the good work. Also, check out my 1972 Triumph GT6 sometime and join my group if you would like. Any British car can join. Here is the link. http://groups.cardomain.com/groups/13157/pages/13675. Later, Jeff.
