This is my Fathers 1988 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe, now this car has gone thru alot. My Father picked it up f0r $150 with a broken ball joint, no tranny and no drive shaft, but he had those parts from his last Turbo Coupe which was an 84 that rotted to death because of under coating, so he picked this up in 2002 and wrenched away at his new toy, after about 2 months it was completed and ready to roll, drove it stock for about 2 years then some major modding came in, in 2005 he had put a bigger cam in the car which blew the motor because the head was acting funny and wiped many cams and even a roller cam, so we searched high and low to find a new motor, and finally we found one with 73.000 miles for $300 and was in a wrecked 86 that some guy wrapped around a telephone pole, so we got that one and brought it to the garage to start workin on the motor as we pulled out the old motor we noticed something about it, somebody whizzed off the production number off the block...hmm
well anyway we put the new motor in and it ran nice, so we put a 3" downpipe on the Garrett T3 which was stock on that 86 motor and the old one had a tiny IHI, so after we did all that we brought home were my father started to mod it...
Just got new headlight to

So we removed the front bumper to do the intercooler so we had some diffrent ideas
This is what we were gonna do originally but got to complicated...
This is what we got...
Then my father brought the Bumper and header panel to work to paint it, he already painted the fenders and the hood, and that hood doesnt even belong on the Turbo coupes...
~~~First car show with the car since we first got the car in 2000 and it won first place in the Thunderbird class at the Mustang Club of Orange County 1st annual spring round up 2007
