Hideki's Modifications in detail
This page is devoted to showing you the modifications I've done to my Corvette in detail (there isn't too much done yet but progress is slow but sure) so keep posted XD

HKS Exhaust, yes I said HKS...
agentallamerican's 1990 Chevrolet CorvetteIt starts out with two HKS Hiper mufflers into a 2.5" dual piping (into a 3" Y pipe) and a Magnaflow high-flow catalytic convertor. It adds to the wangan flavor, sounds amazing, and picks up a few ponies from the stock dinky exhaust.

Mystery Badges :P
agentallamerican's 1990 Chevrolet CorvetteAlright, not really a "mod" and I never actually asked for them, but here's the badges the guys at Guldstrand made for me. They're copies of the original "Grand Sport 80" fender decals they included in the GS80 package. For the whole story of how they came to be look at Page 4 ;)

Rear Wheel Spacers
agentallamerican's 1990 Chevrolet CorvetteTo achieve the stretched tire look I needed some 1.5" spacers to pull out the rear wheels so the top of the tire would line up to the fender. Looks soooooo much better now ;)

K&N filtercharger
agentallamerican's 1990 Chevrolet CorvetteLet me be the first to say I know it's "sucking hot engine air, dude" (don't even bother telling me I'll just delete the post) When I bought my Vette the factory airbox was cracked, as to where the snorkel that leads to my throttle body couldn't be connected and was sucking in unfiltered air. So slightly warmer air is better than dirty air any day. It actually has a nice sound, and I'm sure it picked up a pony or two (not like my butt dyno, or butt G-meter could tell the difference) In the future I'll probably just get a factory airbox and cut the lid, throw a K&N in the OEM box and call it a day.

 Lowering the Car 2"
It's freaking easy-cheesy. The C4 Z51 has an overengineered suspension setup from the factory, and my Bilstein dampers were in great shape (if yours are blown replace them before you lower the car) The C4 doesn't use traditional coil-springs, they have a mono-leaf spring that runs from one side of the car to the other, and lowering the car is just a wedge for the front, and longer bolts for the rear. This actually increases the spring rate giving me a stiffer ride, and an even lower center of gravity. Seriously, this car's so low if you sit inside the car and open the doors, you can reach down and pick up a coin from the street without bending over. What a parlor trick :) You know your car's low when your sitting at a stoplight and notice your eye level is the same as other car's rear bumper...

Here's a before and after pic of the car lowered. It looks soooo much better! It went from old man sports car, to wangan warrior XP

ARE polished Meshies and stretched tires
agentallamerican's 1990 Chevrolet CorvetteI managed to score a set of polished ARE meshies in the correst size for a late C4 Corvette (17"x9.5") They look close-enough like my favorite wheels on a Corvette (CCW Classics) and give the car serious shutokou racing looks. ARE is American Racing, but those wheels look like they're straight from the land of Jay-Dee-M. The stretched BFGoodrich G-force tires don't hurt the look either :) while I understand the actual tread size is reduced (from the monster 275's from the factory) the under 300 horsepower L98 engine is quicker without those massive meats. And the car looks ever lower with this tire setup XD
