LIGHTWEIGHT TUNES
I don't want a ton of weight to mess with MPGs, nor do I want to attract thieves.
I used to run higher end systems in my 1968, but after having the windows smashed three times, I'm not going that route anymore.
Kenwood522
-I think that's the part number, but I'm away from the car, right now. Having problems with the face plate rattling. My Alpine unit was motorized and never rattled, but Alpine didn't have Sirius at the time. Debating where to go next.
Infinity Perfect 5X7
I installed the Infinitys in back for the superior bass response. I figured the trunk would magnify that particular characteristic of the speakers. Sold the OEM speakers for $25.00 to offset costs which were low, due to the closeout sale. Total Cost was $50.00.
Polk Audio MOMO 5070
I installed the Polk MOMO's in front because of the slightly cleaner sound. Sold my OEM speakers for $25.00 and bought the Polks at 50% off due to closeout sale -Total Cost: $30.00
MMATS Pro Audio
MM4070 competition amplifier. Works great, having problems keeping it cool in summers. Right now, I just fold down the seat, but plan to delete the rear seat in the near future. Will probably mount under the rear seat delete panel in the passenger compartment, and allow air conditioner to cool the unit.
Sirius Satellite Radio
I would never go back to the Clear Channel crap that's on air everywhere now!! I rarely even use the CD player anymore!!
