Some pics I took between when I filled up in Ohio and just into Southern Maryland at a gas station.
I was following a girl in an Eagle Talon driving at 95 miles an hour through the mountains, with a 350Z behind me when I finally had to stop for fuel.
It was so nice I had to get my camera out of the trunk and snap some pics.
Notes on life in Maryland/DC
The customer service here is horrible!!!
Saturday, I had 3 hours to 1) hit the bank 2) hit the post office, and 3) fill-up the tank before I went in to work.
Anywhere else I've ever been it would take 30 minutes, tops.
I spent 1.5 hours in line at the bank, while customers and tellers were arguing with one another, and another 30 minutes in line to pay for gas.
Never made it to the post office.
Got to work 15 minutes early, & decided to get lunch at 12:00PM where I waited in line for ANOTHER 30 minutes to get a freakin' burger at a FAST FOOD restaurant. 30 minutes is enough to get a nice meal at a decent restaurant.
By that time, I had been awake 4 hours & had spent 2.5 freakin' hours in line.
I don't think I've gone anywhere without having to wait in line for at least 20 minutes. I've talked to managers, etc., about the waste of everyone's time (Catch a clue jerk! There are 5 teller windows with no one in them, why the heck did you put those teller windows in if you couldn't staff them?)
But I reckon they make more money off MY TIME this way.

Interlude:
They're calling me Joe Pesci, now, around here!
I'd say "They'll "screw" you in the drive thru! But there's no freakin' drive thru's
-Except the freakin' liquor stores! What's the freakin' deal with that?!
and speaking of liquor stores! There's one on every other corner, and none of them sell anything good!!
Are Miller High Life, Schlitz, and Coors, & Mickeys the Official Beers of Maryland?!?!

Observation #2, these are the most horn-happy folks I've ever seen. I don't think I've been on the road for more than 5 minutes before someone honks the horn for some obscure reason! What's the freakin' deal?
Observation #3 -I don't know if it's because everyone waits so long in line for EVERYTHING but speed limits seem to be suggestions.
I was going at a pretty good clip (7 mph) over when some idiot in a slate blue Mustang v6 almost rearends me going into an exit ramp. He then laid on his freakin' horn. Posted speed limit was 30 mph. I walked him around the cloverleaf (he fell behind at 50 or so) and slowed to enter MD-5 at 5 mph over the speedlimit (45 mph). The idiot then catches up, lays on the freakin' horn, at takes off at around 70 mph.
When it first happened, I thought it was simply a freak, but it happens ALL THE TIME! There are pedestrians all around MD-5 (just before it goes into DC), and I've seen at least 3 of them hit. There is no freakin' way someone should be doing 70 on that portion of the road.
