THE REBUILD
Now Before i was just going to pull the motor out bolt on a few things and slap it back in, but my worry of the engine letting go as it had done 177,000 kms got the better of me
The engine was completely stripped and sent off to the machinists to get bored, honed, cleaned and to get new gaskets forged pistons, race bearings and the crank a nice poilish
After all this was completed the engine was cleaned and prepped by me, then i started the journey to a bloody fast car
after the block was cleaned the oil squirters went into the block, and was then followed by the bearings.
After that i sat the crank in the main bearings, looks good doesnt it
Then the main bearing caps went on, pistons went in, main bearing girdle and oil baffle
Then along came the sump, timing chain, timing cover. The botton sump bowl isnt on at this stage
