The story of the "Roach" began in late October 2006. When I picked her up, she had a mere 11000 miles on the odometer. She was garaged for most of her life and as a result, the exterior was in excellent condition except for a few marks at the corners of the bumpers and some scratches on the hood from the damn effin cats that got into the garage. The interior was super clean. I initially had chrome trim on the doors but I got annoyed with that look so I have removed all of it. I didn't want this car looking like a granny car, so I'm doing what I can to change that. When I see another Corolla the same year as mine and its completely bone-stock, I nearly vomit because its so hideous and people treat them like garbage. I just want to make this into a respectable looking car. It helps that the car is black because all you really need is some rims and tint, and the car looks good. Thats all I was originally going to do, but of course it didnt stop there....

Now that Rolla is done, she is taking a beating from the "park by contact" mindset of drivers in Brooklyn. ughhh

 Comments/criticism/recommendations appreciated!

New Roof Spoiler and went back to old tail-lights, they've been redded out. Much better than ricey altezzas!

New Head-light housings, and a Tein 1.9"-1.4" on KYB GR-2 strut drop. She looks hot!

Plans for Spring 2009:

-repair back of sideskirts where they were cut

-remove resonator box and replace with modded plumbing to produce a ram air intake to hopefully flood the engine bay with more cool air. COMPLETE, but will probably remove or modify it a bit.

-Installation of new black-out headlights and corners.  COMPLETE

-maybe tint tail-lights. INCOMPLETE. instead, I went back to OEM with red-out

-extend front lip lower to the ground...I changed my mind on this, I scrape the ground enough as it is

-repaint the plastic engine cover, maybe a metallic royal blue?

-redo all wiring for the LED underbody kit--> done. no more hanging wires, its all run through the interior of the car, not underneath it. much cleaner

-find some use for the 9007 xenon  kit i have. for my headlights or for my fogs???

Since the car was picked up, I have added: (I will refrain from calling these items "mods" as some do nothing to increase my horsepower [hahahaha, ricer!]. Soooo, "Purchases" is my word of choice)

-Injen Short Ram Intake (sounds nice and adds a little power).
-Tom's lip kit (Ebay Replica)
-Rims [16" MSW Type 11 with Yokohama Avid H4s]

-Tein S-Techs on KYB-GR2 struts

-Generic strut bar
-aftermarket foglights
-BMW M3 rear lip spoiler
-JVC radio unit
-6.5" Pioneer speakers (front door, rear deck)
-TomTom One GPS
-tint (35% side windows, 20% rear)

-black-out housing headlights

-Prestige remote start alarm system

 Minor Purchases:

-aluminum mesh in upper grill, lower air dam, fog light holes
-"S" badge
-blue caliper paint
-blue instrument cluster lighting

 Future mods include:

Yeah, well mine do change the shape of the head lights... they make them more pointy and sharp-edged. I don't want to make them taller. The point was to angle the top of the head lights down to the top of the grille.

Thanks, yeah I had used CF vinyl first a few month back, but I hated them. They were too glossy. Hence why I like the electrical tape better. They really don't have as much effect as I wanted, because they don't blend well with the hood. Oh well. Good luck on the finals.
