What began as a normal 77 911S running with a 160hp flat 6 will end up being a Flachbau (slantnose) 930 all steel widebody V8 conversion. Using Rod Simpson's V8 kit to start I plan on keeping it a mild 350-400hp, daily driver. No airsucking or exhaust charging mod's for me. Plain 'ol gas guzzling, foul smelling, ozone depleting carbon emissions belting out raw unadulterated 300+ ft. lbs of torque propelling me to ungodly spurts of acceleration enough to make me wear a neck brace. Then I stop at the next stop sign...and do it all over. As with all project cars, mine is undergoing the obligatory 6 years hibernation covered in scrap wood, moving boxes, sawdust with coffee cup stains on the bondo. This summer will begin my odessy again, hopefully done by Dec.'07

Well sounds like an adventure to me...good luck. What made you decide on the V8 conversion versus the traditional 930 turbo setup? Just curiuos...
