Had a little mishap at the track recently and damaged 3 pistons.

Went to the track again on October 18.  Since it still pops on the 225 shot I just ran it on a 175.  It ran consistant 10 teens at 131 with a best of 10.14 at 131 with a 1.42 sixty foot.  The best 60 foot was a 1.39.

Made some nitrous passes on Friday.  My best time on a 175 shot was 10.19 at 132.5 with a 1.49 sixty foot.  I upped the nitrous to a 225 shot and the car left with a 1.42 sixty foot but was popping as it went down the track and only went 10.12 at 132.  I get the popping fixed and it will go 9.90's or better on the 225 shot.

Here are some pics and video of the runs:

Went to the track last night 9-5-08.  The suspension is working good.  The car put some daylight under the front tires on the motor.  Had fuel system issues so I only made motor passes.  Best pass was 11.34 @ 120.  Time to upgrade the fuel system and hit the dyno.  With the fuel system fixed and cooler temps I still think it will go 11.0 or 10.90's on the motor.

I replaced the 3 chamber Flowmasters with some Dynomax Ultraflo race mufflers.  I think it sounds a little better and it should free up a few horses.

Took the car back to the chassis shop so they could install the rear firewall.  Still need to seal the joints and install carpet.

After many months the motor is done! I'll drop it in this weekend. Then I'll wrap up the chassis and suspension work that I didn't get to finish last year when the motor broke.

Did a little testing with the nitrous today and it looks like it broke a piston. I think the damage happened last year when the driveline came loose and the motor bounced off the rev limiter on the nitrous.

A little testing on the motor.

With the new converter and suspension work I might see 9's with the 355 and a small shot!
