I bought this Amigo brand new in 1991 - it was my first car. It has well over 160,000 miles on it now. Here she is in her prime, pic taken in about 1995.

I parked it in the garage for over a year one time (big mistake) and things started breaking on it during that year, and it never ran the same when i cranked it up for the first time after that year+.... However, it still runs pretty good, and i need to do some TLC to it. It has a 3" body lift on it that i put on back in 1994, and 325/60 BF Goodrich all terrains. I'd like to add a suspension lift, 33's, and eventually a bigger engine - maybe when my kids get old enough to drive :)
My wife took this pic of me on 9/11 while i drove around San Antonio bursting with patriotism and a broken heart. I posted it in rememberance of that horrible day.

Welp, i finally sprayed bedliner on the Amigo. Sprayed the entire thing inside and out. I did all the prep work, taping, etc., and my brother in law did about 80% of the spraying, since he's done it before many times. 8 gallons of tan, 1 gallon of gray. Now, i just need an A/C, clutch, timing belt, and new softop...

OK Ok ok.... brand new 32x11.50 BF TA/KO's on 15x8 steel wheels with a full size spare...

i'm just about done. I took it to a bbq cookoff, 300 miles round trip, and the a/c did great! It truly feels as though i have a new car :)
i finally figured out how to solve the boot problem on the shifters with the 3" body lift.. i ended up taking the vinyl off of the back of my original seats (any vinyl would work, but i replaced my old seats with new ones) and folding it in half, poking 2 holes through it for the shifters, then clamping it down all around the rim hole with those black steel paper clamp things (that you get from office depot) from the interior of the amigo... i used about 15 -20 of the medium and small sized ones, being sure that the vinyl had enough play while shifting both shifters... i then put another piece of vinyl down on top of that, just kind of laying loose in there for some more sound protection... then, i took an old pair of blue jeans, cut them, poked holes and laid that on top of everything, and shoving the pants under the plastic piece at the end... i really wish i would have taken pics of the procedure, but all i have is the finished product... i've taken it over 75 mph, and 100 miles of driving with no air leaks! it seems to be holding up very well and solved my hot air problem that i had...
