Here is my newly purchased 1990 Toyota 4runner. Paid only $300, with a low mileage of 180k!!! Has a 3L V6 engine, 4WD, and a 5-speed manual transmission. The brake lines are leaking, and need replacing. Plan to wait until warm weather comes to Michigan to do this.

Here are some pics

The lower valance was missing when I bought it, so bought one on ebay, and put a fresh coat of paint on it.

The bumper was really jacked up, but nothing that a lead hammer
can't fix. Also, half of the right part of the grille is broken, and I can't find that part anywhere. Anyone know where i can find one?? I plan to cobble something up if all else fails. You can see that i already started. The corner light is on its way.

The engine is a 3L V6, and a 5-speed manual tranny with 4 wheel drive. Even with 180k, the engine is still in great condition, and starts up first time even in the cold Michigan winter.

The interior isn't too bad, besides the drivers seat and floor mat.

latest update on the corner light. Just put that bar there, but it doesn't look too great. Still don't know what to do.

The passenger side tail light was busted, so bought a new one. In the process of fixing up the light holder with bondo

This is the new styling with bondo. Just need to buy some matching paint.

The car is finally in the garage getting a new brake line!

After a new muffler, LOTS of bondo and fiberglass mainly over the wheel wheels, and some matching paint, this is what we got

just striped off the black paint off the rear bumper to fill in holes with bondo. can't decide if i want to repaint the bumper flat black, or just paint the bondo over with chrome paint.

I bought a new grille piece for the passenger headlight. It came in a dark green color, so I taped it up and painted it black and chrome to match.

here it is pretty much finished off, the bumper was filled in with bondo, the bondo was sprayed over with a chrome paint, worked pretty good.

Not 100% sure, however, I do believe that the '90 - '95 rear bumpers are the same. My truck came from Colorado, but is real clean, no rust.

Man, those northern winters are hard on a vehicle. You can order/replace those rear bumper side panels with chrome ($65.00/per off ebay). I had to replace one after my daughter got hit by a drunk driver. I love my 2 door 1990. Never owned by anyone with small children, so it's real clean. I don't think too many people have even sat in the rear seat. Keep up the good work on the 'Runner!
