Well, yet another install brought to you by XS Audio. This was just a test to see if we could do cut out letters. Actually it is not that bad. I still do not like the install job (yet) but it is going to end up very nice.
Well there it is. That is exactally how it looked when the guy dropped it off at my house. He gave me a piece of paper and said "Make it look like this" (To be honest I didn't like how it looked then, but you have to give him what he wants) My probe and friends jeep are in the background there)
Side picture of the car. Pretty nice, execpt its a honda.
Well the head unit was very simple. It fell right in, under 10 minutes for the entire job. KEC-415S.
Well, the wires ran rather easy also. No good grounds in the trunk though. Had to drill a new one. No biggie, so far intall was going great!
That is greg on the left, and Joe on the right. They are put the chalk line down to make the long cut!
This was teh drawing of the cutout pannel. It was not all that hard to draw, but we figgured it would be harder to cut.
We went with the white vinyl, this is the point where I started to dislike this install. The front of the box was not going to be big enough to do it right.
Thank god for rotozip! I think it came out very nice! The guy wanted us to put MTX in there, well, we changed his mind.
This is greg. He is cutting the carpet in the letters. Came out pretty nice.
This is joe, he is putting the neon on the box. Notice the white vinul box (White will reflect the neon best) This is the ONLY part of the install I dont like. The white plate needs to be bigger, to cover the back of the letters
