so ill be slowly performing a sohc to dohc swap to my red hatch.

as you can see person i got it off painted it ricer blue on the outside, and the inside as well!!

today i took out the ecu, and cluster from the parts car. also ripped random parts off the interior for eithe extra parts and/or replace cuz parts car parts are better :)

yesterday i sold off the fenders, hood, front bumper and bumper supports and a couple random things to a fellow 240sx.org nicoian

quick updates.. i have no pics to show because i cant find the damn pc cord for my digi camera but
the parts car has cluster out, complete engine harness out, ecu unbolted, unbolted driveshaft and unbolted the complete tranny brace from body. basically all i have to do now is sawzall the downpipe from the car (cant get bolts loosened and i have entra dp anyways) and i can yank the motor out. oh yeah just for kicks i cut the front end off the car, literally, to make getting the engine out easier, and cuz its a stupid ricey looking 240.

on my road 240 i plan on unbolting the tranny from the engine so i dont have to play with that. all i got left to do to yank the einge out is: unbolt tranny, i have like 4 wires on body harness to unbolt, unbolt engine mounts, er i believe thats it.

while the engine is out of my road 240 i plan on swapping coil, ps pump and lines, completly removing a/c hoses and such, removing all emmissions stuff. cleaning up and repainting the engine bay and probibly chaning my steering rack, mine leaks and the parts car one doesnt.

also i did recover my glove box with vynal so i will be putting that one once the new engine harness and ecu are hooked up. also going to be doing some work to the hatch area to accomidate my jl w7 box so that i can keep the hatch closed off from public view.

in the first pic engine is out and bay is waiting for a cleaning. second pic i have the new engine harness installed. in the third pic i have the ps res and coil partially installed.

first pic is my old dash all cracked up. second pic is the mint dash out of the parts car that will be going into my car. third pic is my car with the cracked dash out awating the new dash.

first pic is my wiring job for the dash harness connector. the single cam one was white and have a different set up. the second pic is as far as i got with the cluster wiring. if you notice i have 6 wires left. all of which are the same color so im not sure which one goes to which one. ill have to get engine in and hook battery up to figure it out.

the first one is a pic of my daughter behind my car, and second one is how my car sits until i get the parts to put engine and such back in.
