77CheyenneC10's 1988 Mazda 323

here's my '88 Mazda 323 SE hatchback. My dad paid $275 for it in may of 06. it had about 180,000 miles on it. He passed it on to me in november of 06. I put a couple thousand on it before the odometer and the speedo quite working at 198,000(i think it was in january 07). It's got the 1.6L non-turbo four banger mated to a three speed automatic with manual over drive. The tranny isn't all that great but it always shifts and never fails once warmed up.

This, everyone, is a beater car. I don't plan on ever selling this car. I plan on driving it till it won't drive anymore, then finishing it off in the fields. The only thing that would make this car a better beater would be a standard tranny.

I had originally planned having the whole car painted flat black a long time ago but it got too cold and I have no heated garage. I started with the hood and steelies to make fun of ricers at first but it ended up having to stay that way.

The interior is in pretty good shape.

Everyone knows the NOS floormats give all these four cylinders a couple extra horsepower. And when you get em for free it's even better.

Heh... that is one sweet ride ;) - probably more custom work than average - you don't see a lot of people puttin' the love into the 323's!
