I bought this Scirocco in 1988 and have owned it ever since. It was stock with the exception of a Kenwood 636 pull-out casette player. I modified it over the next 2 or 3 years (most extensively because I don't think I will ever be "done" with it) and then showed the car extensively in California during the 90's and early 2000's. The car was featured in European Car (March 93), VW Trends (June 93), and Sport Compact Car (April 93).

I knew that I had been showing the car for a long time when around 2000 at one of the ND shows, I overheard one guy telling his friend "I remember when I saw that car in European Car a long time ago when I was a kid. It made me want to buy a Scirocco. I'm surprised that it is still around."

In the last 5 years, the car has been repainted a solid Alpine White, had the transmission rebuilt, Audi 2.0 engine with Techtonics ported and polished head. Added White Cat taillights and upgraded to 16 x 7.5 Momo star wheels.

It features, Kamei grill and grill spoiler, BBS body kit, Euro bumpers, headlights, clear turn signals and White Cat taillights.

16 valve brakes front and rear with 16v master cylinder and Stillen cross drilled front rotors.

Euro manifold and downpipe, and a high flow cat leading to a Borla exhaust with Velocity Tuning piping.

Lower temp thermostat and fan switch. Neuspeed short shifter with prototype weighted rod. Lightened flywheel. Chromed engine dress up. External oil cooler with thermostatic control. G grind cam, Techtonics adjustable cam sprocket. Neuspeed throttle body with match ported intake manifold.

Full Neuspeed suspension: springs, stress bars, and sway bars. Koni Shocks.

White guage faces, Custom Kenwood stereo system with fiberglass 10' JL sub enclosure in trunk. Custom upholstered seats. Custom guage mount in bottom of center console. Momo steering wheel and shift knob. And I'm sure there is all sorts of stuff I could add still.
